No! This is a brand new system of polyurethane resin and stone, not epoxy! It's much stronger, more durable and more UV resistant. Forget your old impression of the systems and find out how this new and improved system from Vuba Stone revolutionises the industry, making all the right changes.
Yes you can! Give us a call about our overlay systems and the options we can offer you to create a brand new look to your old concrete.
Vuba Stone is permeable meaning that it will let the water flow through the surface - it's free draining! This means if your sub base is permeable underneath the water will just drain back into the earth, no drainage systems needed!

Rubber Stone is a combination of recycled tire rubber, high quality synthetic EPDM rubber, and 100% solids polyurethane adhesives.
Simple care, regular pressure washing (3500 psi at 6"), and a binding agent reroll every 3-5 years keep Rubber Stone's finish strong and flexible. You can register your Rubber Stonesurface at www.coveryourugly.com under Resources.
Rubber Stone can be installed on most solid substrates such as concrete, tarmac, aluminum, asphalt, brick and steel. It can also be installed on compacted crushed stone for creating porous patios or splash pads.
With proper maintenance, your Rubber Stone surface can last for 15 years or longer!
Not at all! Rubber Stone is flexible enough to endure even the harsh freeze-thaw cycles of northern Canada.
Not like concrete does! Rubber Stone is cooler than tarmac and concrete in the heat of summer because the pores create airflow that helps to keep the surface temperature cool. EPDM rubber does not absorb heat or cold the way cement or stone products do, and the lighter the colour the less heat it will attract.
There is very little fading with Rubber Stone as the EPDM granules are coloured all the way through. The first season your top shiny layer reduces to a matte finish, this is normal. We do recommend a roll on top coat every 3-5 years to help protect against UV rays.
No, Rubber Stone is high-traction even when wet.
You bet! Driveways can be resurfaced with recycled rubber or full colour EPDM for even better durability and design potential.
Rubber Stone is resistant to gasoline, diesel, motor oil, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid and other hostile materials.
No … but Vuba Stone does! For long lasting shine consider resurfacing with Vuba Stone instead. Rubber Stone is shiny at application but the shine fades after a couple of months, leaving it with a matte finish. This is normal.
We provide the binding agent and can either come apply it for you or sell it to you for you to do yourself. We are always happy to apply it for you for best results.
Because Rubber Stone is a rubber-based material, cutting out the damaged area and re-pouring the safety rubber and resin mixture will make repairs to your surface easy, and permanent. Please contact us if you require any repairs.
